Guided Forest Bathing+ in Kent
Slow down, reconnect, and restore in the ancient woodland of King’s Wood, Challock

Ramblewood offers guided Forest Bathing+ experiences in the heart of King's Wood, Challock, Kent - immersive nature-based sessions designed to help you reduce stress, calm the nervous system, and reconnect with yourself through the healing power of the woodland.

Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, Forest Bathing+ is not hiking or exercise. It is a slow, mindful experience that invites you to engage with nature through your senses, guided invitations, gentle movement, stillness, and deep presence in the woodland environment.

Ramblewood sessions are guided using the unique Forest Bathing+ approach developed by The Forest Bathing Institute, combining evidence-informed wellbeing practices with mindful nature connection. As a trained Forest Bathing+ guide certified by The Forest Bathing Institute, Tanya creates experiences that are both deeply restorative and professionally grounded in nature-based wellbeing practice.

What is Forest Bathing+?

Forest Bathing, or Shinrin-yoku, began in Japan as a recognised wellbeing practice that supports mental, emotional, and physical health through mindful immersion in nature.

The Forest Bathing+ system expands on traditional forest bathing by integrating additional therapeutic and sensory practices that deepen the experience of restoration, connection, and nervous system regulation.

Scientific research has linked mindful time spent in woodland environments with:

  • Reduced stress and anxiety

  • Improved mood and mental clarity

  • Lowered cortisol levels

  • Better sleep and relaxation

  • Enhanced focus and emotional wellbeing

  • Nervous system regulation and restoration

At Ramblewood, sessions are designed to be accessible, calming, and welcoming for all experience levels. No fitness level, meditation experience, or outdoor expertise is required.

Your Guide, Tanya

I'm a Forest Bathing+ Guide, certified by The Forest Bathing Institute. Blending mindfulness, sensory immersion, and ecological awareness, I work to reconnect people with nature through immersive, mindful experiences that restore balance, deepen awareness, and nurture well-being.

When I'm not in an ancient woodland, I work in technology transformation at Macmillan Cancer and am studying for a degree in Counselling to broaden my nature therapy offering. For over 35 years, I have nurtured and deepened my mindfulness, meditation, and yoga practice, allowing these principles to shape my personal growth and work.

I champion a world where everyone spends regular time in nature as a way to rebalance body and mind, and connect with nature. To nurture community connection and resilience, and protect our forests and ancient woodlands.
