What to expect

A Ramblewood Shinrin Yoku (forest bathing+) session is a gently guided, two-hour experience designed to help you slow down, settle your nervous system and connect with the natural world.

We’ll take a gentle, unhurried walk through the woodland, following forest paths and pausing regularly along the way. We won’t cover a long distance or walk at a fast pace - the emphasis is on noticing what is around us rather than reaching a destination.

At different points, I’ll offer simple sensory invitations, mindful movement and moments of quiet. You’ll be encouraged to notice what you can see, hear, smell and feel, experiencing the forest in a more present and restorative way.

Sessions take place in small groups of up to 10 people. There will be opportunities to share what you’ve noticed, and learning from each other's experience, but speaking is always optional. There is no pressure to participate in anything that doesn’t feel comfortable for you.

The session ends with a calming Treelaxation, followed by a herbal tea and time to reflect together.

You don’t need any previous experience of mindfulness, meditation or forest bathing, or a high level of fitness. As we’ll be walking on natural woodland paths that may be uneven, muddy or slippery, please come dressed for the weather and wear sturdy footwear.

Every session is different because the woodland is always changing - and so are we.

Let the forest restore you.
